The Salon is a place for all different art forms to meet and to be shared with others.
I was inspired to create The Salon when I was working on a classical music piece with other musicians trained in classical music, but no longer practicing the form professionally. We realized there was no place for us to share the piece we were working on, since we were not "part of the classical world." The more I thought about it, the more I realized that the same can be said about much of the art world. Too often, each individual art form separates itself from other forms of art and builds a community around itself.
With this salon, my goal is to build a community open to all the arts: high-brow, low-brow, popular, classic, traditional, experimental, and everything in between. It is also my intention that the presentation of this salon be open and free to anyone interested in gaining exposure to art and various forms of expression and ideas.
